When I was in Australia, I was working with the corporation called Woolworths. One day the elderly salesman came there to publicize the item for consumption he worked for. During lunch break I went out to have coffee and there I found the same salesman. After minute of silence, he broke the ice and said, where are you from mate? I replied; I am from Pakistan. He starred me with the strange-eye. I asked him; do I look like terrorist to you or what? Salesman said; yes. I was traumatized and distraught by his retort. Though, I replied him in detail and made him accept that he is terrorist too for the reason that his country also involves in direct state terrorism in Iraq and indirect involvements in other countries. Latter, he act contrite and as well-mannered citizen I accepted his request for forgiveness, but those bigoted annotations obligated me to think over the west’s attitude towards the Muslims. Definitely, this was causing dissonance and controversy among different civilization and inhabitants of the world.
I was watching Naseer Uddin Shah’s Indian movie in which an English police officer had a wits shocking question for Naseer Uddin Shah (He was acted as city’s deputy police chief) that “it is not important question that every Muslim is terrorist but the important question is, whether every terrorist is Muslim?” regrettably, the answer to the query is “Yes”.
Muslims around the world has been the victims of bigotry and biased mind-set and the reason for it is the superfluous involvement of Muslim countries and faction in intercontinental issues.
Life before 9/11 was of good quality and horizontal in the world. There were a probability and prospects of negotiations on quarrels but 9/11 has altered the scenario of International politics as well as the Muslim community. Due to that unpleasant incident the prevalent victim was an ordinary man whose life became nastiest extra ordinarily which eventually shaped impatience attitude among cultures for each other. The war against terrorism started which presents economic recession to ordinary person, who even don’t know the benefits of war freak country.
Here talking specifically, I would propose USA and Pakistan who always gets occupied in pointless line of action for other states matters. This state of affairs started in cold war epoch between Soviet Union (Now Russia) and USA. Afghan’s war against Russia and immense support from USA, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia plant not only this region in nuclear war hazard but also endangered the lives of generations to come. The funny thing is that the same western countries like UK and USA were hand in glove with Muslim countries and even with Taliban as well when their vested interests lies in this region. After they met their interests, they left Muslims of this region in middle of Lurch. USA’s non-serious attitude in resolving issues correlated to Muslim countries has also fashioned the disliking for west by the Muslims.
The majority of the Muslim countries of the world are the victims of terrorism and ingredient of tarnished games played by the west. When the sentiments and human rights of the people continuously dishonored by the USA also known as policeman of the world, the hate rate for west would unquestionably amplified by leaps and bounds. USA in its war always despoiled the code of ethics by bombardment on civilian areas and adds fuel to fire by calling it human a error. Gods forbidden, if my innocent son or brother gets killed in any bombardment not only I but any person will hate that country to its extreme.
Just after 9/11 the people of United States awfully hated not only Muslims but all non-white people with height of discrimination. Ironically, people of USA forgot that those non-stop incidents are happening to almost all Muslim countries for more then 60 years. Now the questions of questions arise, what Muslim ought to do? Are not they human? Are not they allowed to act in rage when they see their beloved die without any reason?
I would plea you to put glance around the world affairs. Most of the nations who are facing all categories of suppressions are belongs to Muslim community directly or indirectly. May be Muslim countries has botched to hoard themselves as a lone community but that doesn’t legalize the in-just approach in the mean of fabricated wars by the influential states in the given name of religion or clash of civilization.
I would like to present the meaning of humanity in the view of every religion. According to George Bernard Shaw for Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) "I have studied him - the man and in my opinion is far from being an anti–Christ. He must be called the Savior of Humanity". Gandhi Said for Him, "I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life"
As Hinduism describes Humanity as that humans are the highest of all creation. Soul takes many births in lower forms to get the eligibility to be born as human. "It is difficult for me to understand how life forms lower than human beings, such as plants, insects, and other animals, could have souls....
With that free will comes responsibility. Humans who misuse their free will have to loose it, at least for a time. Chapter 16 of the Bhagavad Gita describes such human beings as having to take birth in lower species of life."
Christian humanism is the belief that human freedom, individual conscience, and unencumbered rational inquiry are compatible with the practice of Christianity or even intrinsic in its doctrine. It represents a philosophical union of Christian faith and classical humanist principles.
Renaissance humanism generally emphasized human dignity, beauty, and potential, and reacted against the religious authoritarianism of the Catholic Church. While Renaissance humanists stressed science and sensuality, Christian humanists used the principles of classical learning to focus on biblical studies, theology, and the importance of individual conscience, thus creating the intellectual foundations for the Protestant Reformation.
I don’t comprehend that when all religion around the world encourage humanity and its prosperity then how people go kill each other in the name of Islam, Christianity, Jew or Hinduism? How states fabricate wars on one specific community by calling them terrorist?
My suggestion for Muslim countries on this issue will be to stop supporting or encouraging any form of terrorism directly or indirectly and I would also suggest Western countries to stop hostile policies towards Muslim countries and should force all concerned countries on negotiation table to resolve all issues amicably.
We need to act swiftly before its too late! It's time to save not only Muslim, Hindus or Christians but it's time to save Humanity.
